In-use Test:
Source's Low Profile hydration system does seem to offer pretty well everything I've been looking for when carrying water on walking trips. First of all it's light. The wide top plus handle means it's easy to fill (even possible to add ice), plus the design means it really doesn't take up a huge amount of space in your daypack or backpack and the pack remains stable even as you empty it. It's simple to drink from - there's no dripping plus a locking closure means there's no risk of trapping the tube and inadvertently emptying all your precious water. You can also detach the tube to just remove the bag for a quick re-fill.
Best of all, though, is that so far (I've been using it regularly for about two months now), there is no build up of off-putting 'grunge' in the bladder or any part of the tube. The anti-microbial really does seem to be working.
I now don't go walking without this - Source's WLP low profile product is one of the best hydration systems that I've used. Definitely check this out if you're a regular walker.
