In-use Test:
The GorillaPod Hybrid from Joby is a very portable, little camera tripod with a difference.
Having screwed its 'shoe' to the bottom of your camera, I found I could easily attach my camera to the main tripod orienting it so that the integral spirit level was at the front. Once in place, it was easy to a) to adjust the camera horizontally and vertically and b) using the tripod's clever 'leg' system to position the tripod on rough uneven ground, wrap it around a branch or a fence post .... in fact to position the camera wherever I needed it.
It's pretty light and will just about fit in the top pocket of one of my larger backpacks and whilst it's perhaps a little bulky, it's certainly less so than a full tripod. We certainly liked the GorillaPod.
If you're even a semi-keen photographer whose walks often include a search for the really memorable photo and/or pic with your loved one, then this little GorillaPod is certainly worthwhile checking out.
