In-use Test:
The Extremities Arid Waterproof Beanie from Terra Nova is a two layer beanie hat. The inner layer is a soft feeling, polyester fleece and the outer layer is soft knitted acrylic. It has an understated, plain look with a small Extremities logo on the front & a small tag on the back.
I've been trying it out in some very cold and wet/snowy weather in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District and it performs very well indeed. It is extremely comfortable, water resistant and pretty windproof and warm. I kept the hat on during the whole walk and it kept my head nice and warm without getting too sweaty - even when the hat got wet during a heavy sleet shower.
It is a one size fits all unisex beanie hat and it fitted me very well - covering my forehead and ears and the back of my head. More importantly, it stayed in place during some very high winds on the summits of Mam Tor and Lose Hill (Ward's Piece) - winds so strong I could not stand upright!
Warm, waterproof and stylish, The Extremities Arid Waterproof Beanie from Terra Novis a perfect xmas stocking filler or birthday gift for the walker in your life - whether they are male of female.
