In-use Test:
I tried Aquabourne's waterproof case for Kindles with another popular e:reader, the Kobo , which fitted easily into it. The top of the case rolls down and is then secured in place by the main closure which is secured via a robust-looking velcro strip.
The Kobo I used is powered on and off via means of a small slide switch on its top. Try as I might I wasn't able to turn this on whilst the Kobo was inside the waterproof case. Once the Kobo was on, though, I was able to use the screen based controls. (I was using a touchscreen Kobo - some e:readers have control buttons down the side - it would be difficult to use these whilst the e:reader was inside this case.)
And yes - the cover does seem to keep out rain/moisture.
A simple idea that seems to work reasonably well - albeit only with touch screen e:readers. If you have content on a Kindle or another e:reader, that you want with you on your walk or you simply want to protect your Kindle/e:reader from dampness .. then check out this waterproof case from Aquabourne.
