Product Review & Walking Gear Test
iPad Waterproof case Vital Statistics: Weight: SRP: |
Features to Note:
- Adjustable neck and shoulder strap
- Foldaway stand
- Suitable of ipad 1, 2 or 3; size 25cm x 20cm
In-use Test:
This ipad waterproof case has basically the same design as Aquabourne have used in the product for Kindles.
My ipad fitted easily into the case which is closed via a top which is rolled down twice and then secured with velcro.
You need to 'power on' the ipad before putting it in the case as the power on/off button - and indeed all the buttons located on the edge of the ipad - are well nigh impossible to use. However getting the ipad out of stand-by mode (by using the recessed button on its front) is no problem at all; the touch screen also works as usual.
The case is waterproof (as tested with a shower and without my ipad!) and feels reasonably robust.
There is a stand on the back of the case, though I found this rather inadequate and difficult to keep fully extended without resorting to anchoring it with a small stone!
If you use your ipad when walking, then Aquabourne's case is a simple and effective way of providing some protection.
