In-use Test:

The Halulite Minimalist Lightweight Cooking package is designed (as the name suggests) for light-weight camping.

It includes a 0.6L pot, sip-it lid, a Foon (or Spork as we know it), a pot gripper and an insulating sleeve.

I used it to heat water for a re-constituted meal with the lid inverted.

Using the pot gripper I then poured the hot water into re-consituted meal pouch.

Next I heated more water for a hot drink and lifted off the lid using the gripper.

Next I lifted the canister (unsing the gripper again) into the protective cover.

I then replaced the lid (this time the other way up) and drank my drink without any mishaps.

I thought the Pot Gripper was a really quite clever design - it's a small rubber cover that you put over two of fingers when you need to lift the pot. It's magnetised so when you're not actually using it you can attach it to your gas canister.

Our Outlander gas head plus Colman 250 gas cylinder didn't quite fit into the main canister .... but there are equivalents that would do. If you don't store gas/gas head in here, then can pack socks or something else there.

The protective cover/insulator does smell a little unpleasant - hopefully this odour will disappear over time.

My only other comment is that I thought it was a little difficult to get lid off with the gripper. Perhaps that will improve with practise.

Buying Advice:

If light-weight camping is your thing - then the Hallulite Minimalist package is definitely a handy little set to have with you.
