New Hot Food Kit from Wayfayrer Foods
Wayfayrer Foods, the leading brand of ready to eat food for the outdoors are introducing an exciting new accessory to make their tasty meals even easier to prepare.
This year's Go Outdoors show will see the launch of the new Hot Food Kit, which combines the traditional foil meal pouch with an innovative flameless heater, complete with a lightweight set of plastic cutlery.
The flameless heater is simply a light plastic sleeve containing a heating element, which reacts with water to create an exothermic reaction, transfering the heat to the pre-cooked food within the foil pack and heating the food in a matter of minutes. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who need to travel light, it eliminates the need for bulky stoves and flasks to be carried in order to enjoy the "home cooked" flavour of Wayfayrer Foods.
Four favourites from the popular Wayfayrer range have been chosen for this promotion, including the latest new addition to the extensive menu, Spicy Vegetable Rigatoni, which was developed in conjunction with the media-testing panel of journalists and outdoor enthusiasts. However, if a particular favourite Wayfayrer meal does not feature in the Hot Food Kits, the flameless heaters will also be sold separately to enable consumers to enjoy their particular favourite any time, anywhere.
Wayfayrer Foods is enjoyed by many outdoor enthusiasts as a tasty alternative to dehydrated foods. One self-confessed fan is Alan Hinkes, currently nearing the end of his "Challenge 8000" expedition in which he aims to become the first Briton to conquer all 14 peaks worldwide over 8,000m in height. The high nutritional value of Wayfarer's "real food" goes a long way towards keeping up both strength and morale in such difficult climbing conditions.
The Wayfayrer menu has a large selection of mouth-watering dishes including three desserts and three vegetarian meals, offering hearty real food to be enjoyed in the outdoors.
The Wayfayrer meals range from SRP £2.50 for sweet meals to £3.50 for savoury meals and £5.00 for Hot Food Kits.
