Teva Supports GB Rafting Team at 2005 World Championships
Leading watersports and lifestyle footwear brand, Teva, has again confirmed its commitment to the worldwide watersports industry by supporting the men's Great Britain Rafting team at this year's World Championships in Ecuador.
Teva is the footwear of choice for the men's GB Rafting Team. The seven-member team will be kitted out in their Teva's as they prepare for the competition during a tough training schedule, and as they compete in the four-day World Championships from 12-16 October 2005.
Teva will be supplying the team with footwear from their “Hydro” and “Originals” collection. The Gamma Pro is a favourite amongst the team and is considered to be the ultimate whitewater equipment for your feet. The popular Huricane II is designed using Teva's patented universal strapping system and provides all the support and comfort required.
The GB Team will be up against the best in the world at the Championships, with men's teams from 26 countries competing on the Quijos River. The GB Team will be competing in events over 3 disciplines, the Sprint, Slalom and Downriver.
Rob Birrell, Teva UK Brand Manager, said: “Teva has a long association of supporting watersports events around the world and we are very proud to be the footwear sponsors for the GB Rafting Team in their bid to bring back a medal at this year's World Championships. They are all big fans of the Teva footwear collection and we are delighted they have put their trust in us during such a prestigious event. We wish them all the very best over the 4 days.”
Team GB Captain, Lawrence Harris said of Teva's support: “Both men's and ladies teams consider Teva to be the leaders of their market and the number one choice of the team. We are very grateful for their support and hope that our association with the brand is a winning one, not just at these Championships but at future events.”
