Land Rover is no Challenge 4 Wayfayrer
Wayfayrer Foods has once again been chosen as the official food supplier to the 2006 Land Rover G4 Challenge.
Wayfayrer will provide a variety of breakfasts, main meals and desserts to ensure no one goes hungry and keeping energy levels high. All meals can be eaten hot or cold which will be of great use to competitors' while constantly on the move.
Wayfayrer was the only food selected for the inaugural 2003 event. Comments from competitors, such as the ones below, have again ensured Wayfayrer is the number one choice for the 2006 event;
“It was so nice to get a decent meal after a tough day's competition.” Cuneyt Gazioglu, Turkey
“Chocolate pudding and chocolate sauce … we were spoilt for choice!” Sergey Polyansky, Russia
“It was so easy. We just heated it up on the manifold or dropped it into boiling water and job done!” Tim Pickering, UK
The Land Rover G4 challenge is the ultimate adventure giving men and women from 18 countries the chance to compete in the 4x4 driving and multi activity challenge. The event will be set in both rural and urban areas over four differing stages spanning from South Asia to South America with one competitor representing each nation.
This time the 2006 event promises to be tougher and more spectacular than before. The adventure begins in Bangkok and ends in the high altitudes of Bolivia where, after travelling thousands of miles and testing their physical and mental stamina the ultimate winner will receive a Range Rover.
For competitors to reach the G4 challenge itself they must first go through a series of selection rounds. Each competing nation will hold events where the top three, one man, one woman and one of either gender will progress to the second round, which is held in the UK. Here competitors will complete tasks and training sessions and one person from each nation will be chosen for the G4 Challenge.
