Trekking with Smartwool and Superfeet
This summer Superfeet and Smartwool have helped Karen Churches complete two charity treks. Karen led the Kelloggs Corn Flake Great Walk and was part of an all female group who completed a fundraising trek up Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

The Kelloggs challenge saw Karen walk from John O'Groats to Land's End via Ireland as part of a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of healthy eating and living a balanced lifestyle. Throughout the challenge Karen was walking on average 20miles per day, joined by several politicians and celebrities along the way, including Olympic champion Sir Steve Redgrave.
When Karen completed the Kelloggs challenge there was no resting as she headed straight off to Tanzania for the Women's Great Kilimanjaro Challenge. It was a tough trek for the group being very dusty and cold, however it proved a great success with 90% of the women reaching the Uhuru peak summit.
Throughout both the fundraising treks Karen chose to use Superfeet, premium insoles, in her boots and to wear Smartwool technical socks.
Superfeet, premium insoles, ensured Karen's feet were properly supported at all times, reducing the risk of pain in her feet, ankles, knees, hips and lower back. The unique Smartwool fibres in socks absorbs and wicks away moisture, to prevent blisters while the SmartFit system incorporated in all technical socks ensures a comfortable fit.
Smartwool produce a range of technical, high performance socks from hiking to skiing each specifically designed for the intended activity.
When commenting on her recent success Karen says; “I am very pleased to have selected Superfeet and Smartwool throughout my challenges. My feet were constantly comfortable, supported and warm at all times, I will certainly be using them again during all my walking activities.”
