Smartwool Supporting Charitable Programmes
Specialists in providing high quality and high performance socks and products, Smartwool, have launched their advocacy programme within the American market. The world wide known brand will be giving a helping hand to carefully selected good causes and donating money to the Breast Cancer Fund.
The Smartwool advocacy program was born out of a desire to effectively give back to the environment that surrounds both Smartwool customers and its employees. It is comprised of two separate funds using different funding mechanisms. The first funded by 10% of net revenues of online sales from Smartwool's new e-commerce website, which goes to charities and good causes specifically selected by Smartwool's elected board of employees.
The Breast Cancer Fund is the second arm of the advocacy program and is financed by 2% of sales of women's socks marked with a pink ribbon. This fund has deep roots within Smartwool's history, as one of the founders of the brand was a survivor of the disease and a long-standing advocate of the fund.
Smartwool products are produced from Merino wool allowing a high comfort and performance factor while still allowing the body the ability to breath and wicking away any extra moisture, keeping you cool and the garments odour free. Smartwool produces a diverse range of socks from everyday lifestyle to high performance technical hiking and running socks. While the next to skin range is a collection of men's and women's tops and bottoms that can be worn on their own or as a base layer in colder conditions. The range is perfect to wear for any activity.
