New Tents from Vango
Leading technical outdoor equipment manufacturer, Vango has developed and improved its Summer 2003 range with a host of new features and technical innovations.
Vango's collection of tents has been further developed and improved, with the Force Ten range of expedition and mountaineering tents featuring the new Ascent, a model developed to combine high performance and minimum weight in a semi-geodesic design. The Force Ten Assault provides improved aerodynamics with increased living space.
The roomy Assault is suitable for extreme conditions in a mountain environment. Constructed with a Hytex SPU-Xtreme flysheet and DAC Featherlite poles, the Ascent and Assault have been tried and tested in some of the world's harshest conditions.
Combining the newest fabric and pole technology with the best selling Equinox design has resulted in the new TBS Equinox Lite – a spacious tent with a low carrying weight. Available in two sizes: 250 and 350, the TBS Equinox Lite range is favoured for its large storage space and roomy sleeping compartments. Each of these models feature DAC Featherlite aluminium poles, which weigh up to 15% less than standard alloy poles.
Vango's ultra lightweight Phantom collection has been expanded to feature a new 150 size, which has been designed with adventure athletes, backpackers, cyclists and climbers in mind. The stable design offers larger than expected storage space and headroom and weighing in at just 1.7kgs means that users don't have to compromise space for weight.
