In-use Test:
Our testing for the Trespass Occupy Unisex Walking Boot was over relatively flat terrain in the Peak District where the route was over good paths with some wet/muddy slopes.
This is a flexible boot so is comfortable whilst offering a good level of ankle support by virtue of its high cut. There is padding on the tongue but I didn't think that this was particularly generous. The toe box is firm so provided good protection for this area but I did find that my heel wasn't held particularly snuggly. This may be less of a problem for people with slightly wider feet.
The sole is quite aggressively treaded and offered good grip over both wet grass and mud. The Sympatex lining worked very well. However some moisture seeped in around the tongue which isn't attached to the upper throughout its length. There is a good thick rubber rand that should help protect the upper from scuffs and marks.
The flexibility and grip make the Trespass Occupy Unisex Walking Boots a good option for lower level walking particularly if waterproofness is important and you like the styling. It may be better suited to people with wider feet.
