In-use Test:
Our evaluation of the Hi-Tec Ascent II Walking Boots for Women was during several walks (8-11 miles) over wet, boggy terrain in Cheshire featuring woodland plus sections on both tarmaced and cobbled roads.
As with the Men's version - these boots are very generously cushioned so protected the soles of my feet well over some very hard surfaces. I liked the high cut of the boot which supported my ankles well.
My feet were also warm and dry throughout the day - the breathability and water-proofness were both excellent.
The main difficulty I had was the width of the boot. I do have relatively broad feet so - even though I was in a full size bigger than my normal shoe size - the boot felt a little too narrow for me. So - it's probably better suited to those with a narrower foot.
However, I should add that I really liked the overall 'look' of the boot.
The great level of comfort and the affordable price make the Hi-Tec Ascent II Walking Boots for Women a good option as a stylish, all-round 3 season boot. Check the sizing carefully particularly if you have broad feet.
