In-use Test:
Keen's Siskiyou is a nicely designed, solid, low cut walking shoe. The leather/mesh combination upper combined with a nicely padded ankle cuff and footbed have made the shoe very comfortable for general walking during late summer/ early Autumn.
The midsole/outer sole provided good stability and protection over stones or asphalt plus the toe box is reassuringly solid.
The sizing was a little strange. I normally wear a UK size 10.5 which was the size of the pair I wore on this test - but the test pair did feel slightly big. Fortunately, I was able to compensate a little for this with the lacing system which worked well.
Finally - there's a decent rubber rand around to protect the upper so I'm optimistic that the Siskiyou will wear well.
The Siskiyou from Keen is a comfortable, light-weight walking shoe that offers good stability. It's a great option for grade 1/2 walks on green lanes, stoney tracks, canal toepaths during warm, dry weather. I quite liked the colour range so it's also a fine addition to the wardrobe for use around campsite or for more general leisure wear. There is also a waterproof version.
Do check the sizing.
