In-use Test:
Material:
Very comfortable light-weight trousers - perfect for hiking. Provide good wind protection and dried very quickly. I managed to get knee deep in a Derbyshire Peat bog and not only did these trousers dry within a couple of hours (Derbyshire Peat is very clingy) but the material is strong enough to keep all that damp material away from my leg where it would have definitely spoilt my day. Reinforced seat and knees.
Fit:
Tester: Male, 5' 10", stocky build. Good length and fit. Waist has two elasticated sections and single button fastening at front. Mesh belt supplied though this is a little weak.
Pockets:
Both front pockets have a secondary concealed secret zipped pocket. Two zipped seat pockets with storm flaps. Seventh pocket on right thigh is big enough for a folded OS map - but very uncomfortable when you try to walk with a map stored in it (or anything else for that matter).
Care and Maintenance:
Basic instructions provided - easy to wash and quick to dry.
Extremely comfortable lightweight trousers. The pair I had couldn't convert to shorts - though Craghoppers do a version that can.

• I have at least 6 pairs of these, some are getting a bit long in the tooth. I just can't fault them for quality and durability. Good range of leg lengths, important to me as I'm over 6 foot tall. Worn in all weathers and over various terrains. Plenty of pockets, my only suggestion would be to put a matching cargo pocket on the left leg. Prices vary and well worth shopping around for.

• I have only the greatest compliment to pay to Crag Hoppers. I have worn them in all sorts of conditions which include rain, frost snow, and the drying time is very good following a good soaking. I have great faith in them and would certainly recommend them
