In-use Test:
The material is quite soft to touch, has a light feel, and appears to be abrasion resistant. There didn't appear to be much rain repellancy but the trousers did dry nice and quickly. I was also very comfortable during short walks on a number of quite hot days.
The fit was flattering but not generous - I was wearing a US size 8 and am usually a UK size 12 which I often find to be slightly large on my hips.
The waist isn't stretchy and is unlined but does have belt loops.
Although the fabric has a slight vertical stretch, I did find that with the legs rolled down, I felt a little restricted when bending my legs or squatting. However, with the legs rolled up and secured at the knee the range of movement overall was good.
There's a small zipped back pocket plus 2 shallow jeans- style ones at the side.
The manufacturer's care instructions suggest that a cold wash is required. However, I did wash them at 40 deg C and they were fine although did require a quick iron.
These are a comfortable, flexible pair of trousers that are a great all-round addition to the summer wardrobe - equally good around town or on lower level walking trips.
