In-use Test:
I've worn the NosiLite trousers from Craghoppers for a variety of spring/early summer low level walking - and have been impressed.
The fabric is soft, the fit is good and true to size plus I thought the overall cut is really quite flattering.
The unlined, elasticated waist band has a two button fastening and fitted very comfortably. There are belt runners - but no belt supplied.
The fabric doesn't have any stretch in it but despite that I thought the freedom of movement was great for example when getting over stiles. And there is no excessive bagginess in the legs. They did wet quite quickly in rain - but dried very quickly so I don't see this a s a problem in intermittent showers.
My only slight gripe was that the zip on the safety pocket was broken and so didn't function at all. I assume this was a one-off problem with the pair I had.
I've not yet had opportunity to test out the fabric's insect repellancy.
Whilst not best suited for high level/mountain walking, the Craghoppers Nosi Lite walking trousers are great for more general walking in warmer temperatures. Buy them if you need comfortable, flexible summer walking/travel combination trousers.

• After buying a pair of these at TKMax, I have now bought a second pair at full retail price. They are a perfect fit and extremely light and comfortable. A good early season alternative to shorts. Only gripe, could do with a phone pocket for my GPS.

• I've just bought a third pair to keep for "best"! My only grouse is that the fabric seems to "pill" quite easily. I wear mine all summer as they are so light and comfortable - and the insect repellent really does seem to work, having avoided being bitten on a number of trips when others have suffered. Not cheap, but excellent value!
