In-use Test:

I've been wearing the Berghaus Active V on its own for low level walking and nordic walking in some relatively hot (for the UK) summer weather.

The fit is very good (and true to size) and the cut is very flattering. I particularly liked the long body length and the fact that it didn't ride up at all. The fabric also has a lovely, soft feel.

The wicking is also excellent - I do tend to 'run hot' but the Argentium jersey fabric seemed to deal with this very impressively.

I did find, though, that the odour management was not great at all so this is a top that I'd definitely want to wash after every wear. Fortunately it does wash and dry very easily

The design (short sleeve, v neck, collarless) is great for keeping cool in hot weather.�However, for a long day out walking in the summer my personal preference is for a top that has a collar.

I do have a slight concern over the durability of the fabric - I've been wearing the top on its own - often with a day-pack; I've been a little disappointed to notice some signs of abrasion on the back presumably caused by my pack.

Buying Advice:

The Active V from Berghaus is a good looking, very comfortable top that's great on its own or as the base in a layering system - or indeed for more informal leisure wear.

Whilst its an excellent option for high energy activities, a top with a collar (and better resistance to abrasion damage) may be a better option for summer walking.
