Although the day started brightly the summit was in mist & conditions deteriorated through the afternoon. Climbed for a fourth time on 9.8.23. In light cloud on this summit so no views. I was going to go on to climb Seathwaite Fell but I tripped an broke my wrist, again! Just walked straight down Grains Gill.

Richard Marchant conquered Allen Crags on July 13th, 2022 [from/via/route] Started out from Seathwaite up to Stockley Bridge & right then up to Greenhow Knott, from here I went straight South up through Aaron Crags on to Seathwaite Fell to Great Stack & Sprinkling Tarn then Esk Hause. From here up to Allen Crags & then ridge along to Glaramara on to Combe Head, East to Combe Door along to Rosthwaite Cam & finally Rosthwaite Fell (Bessy Boot) down to Seatoller & back along the road to Seathwaite & the car [with] On my Own [weather] Clear hot sunny day with little or no breeze.
Keith Redhead scaled Allen Crags on January 24th, 2022 [from/via/route] This is a lovely walk from Seatoller Borrowdale. The walk up to thornythwaite crag & Glarsmara is lovely as the path winds it's way through craggs. The last ascent involves a challenging 20 foot scramble. However the mist had descended & find the ridge walk over to Allen Craggs was really challenging. We relied on our compasses as the path was not marked amongst the rock field. This slowed us down & we descended into Borrowdale via Ruddy Gill wearing head torches in the dark. I have never done that before. [with] Hil Natasha Charlie [weather] Dry but misty & challenging
Stephanie Doyle walked up Allen Crags on September 18th, 2021 [from/via/route] Car park
Wayne Baxter climbed Allen Crags on August 16th, 2021 [from/via/route] From Seathwaite followed the path through farm to Stockley bridge. Around Greenhow Knott & pick up a faint path to Seathwaite Fell. Onto Sprinkling Tarn & up Great End. From Great End across to Allen Crags & then onto Glaramara. We picked up a path by Hind Gill (not recommended very steep & rocky). Back to Seathwaite farm [with] Sue, Steven and Bev [weather] Cloudy & some rain
Paul Talbot-Greaves bagged Allen Crags on July 29th, 2021 [from/via/route] Seatoller [with] Paul Drury and Andy Bailey [weather] Rain most of day. High winds & low cloud with poor visibility on tops. Difficult terrain & challenging navigation. Soaked...even boots on inside.
