Waterfall in Yorkshire
Q. I have a picture of a waterfall that you can walk behind.
I don't have a clue where it is and what its called but its in Yorkshire.
Joanne Snaith, Colne, Lancashire
A. Not sure what the question is here - but it sounds a little like Hardraw Force -the Highest (single drop) waterall in England.
It is situated in Hardraw, just North of Hawes in North Yorkshire. It is on private land and can only be accessed via The Green Dragon pub for a small fee - see Walks
If you don't fancy paying - or want to see what you'll be paying for before you do - we have a rather good photograph of Hardraw Falls taken by Ron Linton.

A. The charge is now £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for kids - to look at a one of God's own creations! - Scandalous!
Fran Robinson, Hawes
A. You can also walk behind Thornton Force at Ingleton - see Walk(s)
- (It has a large, square boulder at the bottom for i.d. purposes)
And you can also get behind Janet's Foss at Malham - see Walk(s)
- with a bit of a scramble. Its got a curtain of rock (tufa, actually) - forming a sort of cave.
