I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near York hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello... 60 years young female from York. I have recently got back into walking after a long absence as I am undertaking the Inca trail in April. Looking for friends to go walking with. I am no map reader I'm afraid so reliant on others for this. Look forward to meeting and walking with you.

My Preferred Walk Grades*: 4:5:6:7:

My Preferred Walk Areas:
North West England; Yorkshire;

A bit more about me:

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. If pushed, I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are rather poor at best. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near London hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I live in London, but have done lots of long distance path walking,including the SW coastal path and the Cumbria Way and a fair bit of mountain walking in Scotland: Arran, the Cairngorms, Mull, Assynt... I would love to explore more countryside, mostly the northern half of the country and Ireland, which I'm sorry to say I've never been to!

I was a bike commuter for many years which has given me a good level of fitness and I still love cycling in the city, preferring to mostly keep to quiet routes.

Don't be put off by the fact that I live in London! I can travel!!
And of course there are some lovely walks in and around London.

A bit more about me:

I quite enjoy Scrambling & Edges but don't like too much exposure. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I can drive. I do not have my own vehicle but can borrow or rent one.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Road Cycling

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Herefordshire/Gloucestershire Border hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: *** I do keep trying to upload my photo - I'm on a work laptop and it keeps crashing :( ***

I live near Ledbury and am looking for some like-minded people to get out and explore with from time to time. Malvern Hills, Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons - maybe even some airy ridge scrambles in Snowdonia.

In terms of fitness levels and navigation - I've never done crampons or climbing, so not ultra-intrepid, but good with heights and have managed Crib Goch, Tryfan and scrambly walks in the Carneddau and Rhynogs in recent years. I'm happy with doing up to about 20 miles but equally happy with shorter distances. Hey, any walking is good!

I'm an Aussie by birth but have lived in the UK most of my adult life. I work part-time and could usually meet Tuesdays, Fridays or on the weekend.

If any of this sounds good drop me a line.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Herefordshire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello, I am looking for male/female walking friends. As I work all week it would mainly be for weekend walking, whether a day walk or an weekend away. If you are local to me then happy to do some evening walks in the week.

I would say I have a good level of fitness, map skills get me by (most of the time!).

I am happy on most terrains in any weather and any area at a pace to enjoy the surroundings. Have done some scrambling but not overly confident on extreme exposure! I like doing trails, either as a linear walk or doing in sections and making a circular walk.

In an ideal world it would be good to meet some walk mates to plan some trips for in the UK or overseas(open to ideas).

Would be great to hear from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Brierfield hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello. I'm an athletic and active 65 yr old male (who still thinks he's 25). I retired from policing and all those years of walking the beat. I've been back packing around the world, done Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, Machu Picchu etc. but still loads to see. It would be great to explore with a like minded female companion or any groups. I'm based in Brierfield near Burnley but, as a part time Sports Coach, squash, padel, pickleball and racquet addict, I've got time, spontaneity, solvency and inclination to bag those peaks. So do get in touch... I won't use anything in evidence against you!!

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Midlands hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: At the moment I'm more of a weekend walker because of work but later in the year, all that changes. I'm hoping to get out and about a good deal more during the months of longer days and (potentially) better weather though really don't mind rain and mud that much!
It's good to walk with others, I think. I get to see different routes and I have to think harder about devising them to show you.
Sometimes I take a sketchbook with me and try to capture something about the landscape on the way.
I hope we can enjoy a good walk and each other's company some time soon.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near Eastleigh hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I am a lover of the outdoors and would like to find someone to collaborate with. I enjoy everything from walking the footpaths near my home (I've almost done everything in a 5 mile radius) to hill bagging and mountain walking.
I have a decent amount of experience and would be very happy to help someone with less or conversely to learn from someone with more.
I also enjoy photography and nature watching and would potentially be interested in multi-day walks and wild camps. Although I'm a quiet person I enjoy shared experiences and that's what I'm looking for.
