I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near North Devon hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I am looking to meet people to walk with mainly on Exmoor and Dartmoor but I would also be keen to visit other areas. I have done over 80 Munros including all of the ones on The Cullin but haven't been that way for a while and am a bit less fit now! I enjoy relaxed company (not a route march) to take in the surroundings with interesting happy people. I don't take myself too seriously and am up for new experiences and challenges. It is good to stop off at the odd pub however tea rooms seem to appeal more however tea rooms tend not to have roaring fires so I struggle to decide!

I have three very friendly but bouncy dogs who I walk with but conversation is very limited! I struggle to find folk who want to go for long rambles over the moor but I just love being up there.

I am work part time so am often available weekdays and weekends.

Please get in touch if you want relaxed, friendly company for a walk but please do remember that I have got three dogs so it would be good if you are a dog lover!

A bit more about me:

I love Scrambling & Edges - the more exposure the better. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I like walking with dogs and will bring my own. To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Road Cycling
  • Mountain Biking

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Male Walker, in my late 60s, based near Bakewell hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Currently test driving my new hip (installed in September '25) so less time trials and peak bagging for now. Hence, seeking a co-driver/navigator for 5-10 mile hikes to start with, with a view to more challenging outings in due course.

Based in the Peak District, separated, centre-left, pragmatic and omnivorous. With a background in marine sciences, I've lived and worked around the world. Hence I used to ski, climb and hike in the Alps and Cascades. These days I just hike, mainly in the Peak District and Snowdonia but would like to go further afield both in the UK (including coastal paths) and abroad. Would also love to get back on skis, a boat and maybe even a horse! A good pub at the end of the day is always welcome!

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Exeter hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello!
It's really nice to think there are others who share a love of connecting with the natural world. In recent years, I have done several long distance walks over 2-6 weeks. One of the reasons I love long distance walking and wild camping is that it allows the freedom to walk as long as it's enjoyable and safe, rather than having to reach a particular point on the map each day. I generally walk about 10 miles a day depending on the terrain, and make it possible with a mix of wild and tame camping. Obviously, it's a joy to be able to stay in a hostel or B&B when possible.
Over the last year, I haven't been for an adventure because I've had a Ukrainian family living with me. They now have their own home so I'm ready to walk again.🥾 Normally I walk alone and enjoy the peace and stillness that lone walking brings. I'm now beginning to think that it would be sensible to have a walking partner.
Quite recently I have been widowed and am now looking to embrace life and all the good things it has to offer. I work part time and my hours are flexible, making it quite easy to go for a walk. I would love to hear from you if your love of walking in wild places resonates with mine.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Shrewsbury hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I mix and match my walks, so that can mean anything from a short river stroll to a long distance path,I'm planning to do the Great Glen Way soon(ish). I completed a month long walk in Spain earlier this year but that was quite an unusual one for me.

I also do short trips away walking (or mostly walking) several times a year where I based in one place, again camping. I'm only a couple of hours from the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia.

A few years ago I rearranged my life so I now have a lot of flexibility in my life, the chances are that I cam fit in with your schedule.

It's not all walking, and in truth I'm not hyperactive, so I do a some overseas travel which doesn't necessarily include strenuous hikes but I do generally prefer quieter locations.

I hope to hear from you soon :)

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Herefordshire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello, I am looking for male/female walking friends. As I work all week it would mainly be for weekend walking, whether a day walk or an weekend away. If you are local to me then happy to do some evening walks in the week.

I would say I have a good level of fitness, map skills get me by (most of the time!).

I am happy on most terrains in any weather and any area at a pace to enjoy the surroundings. Have done some scrambling but not overly confident on extreme exposure! I like doing trails, either as a linear walk or doing in sections and making a circular walk.

In an ideal world it would be good to meet some walk mates to plan some trips for in the UK or overseas(open to ideas).

Would be great to hear from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near Eastleigh hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I am a lover of the outdoors and would like to find someone to collaborate with. I enjoy everything from walking the footpaths near my home (I've almost done everything in a 5 mile radius) to hill bagging and mountain walking.
I have a decent amount of experience and would be very happy to help someone with less or conversely to learn from someone with more.
I also enjoy photography and nature watching and would potentially be interested in multi-day walks and wild camps. Although I'm a quiet person I enjoy shared experiences and that's what I'm looking for.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Lincoln hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi. I'm semi retired and live near Lincoln. I love the outdoors and love to spend my time walking, running and even gardening. Anything to be outside. I do most of my walking in the Lake District, Peak District and some on the Lincolnshire Wolds. Im always happy to explore and have previously walked in the, Wales and Scotland.
My partner is not really interested in my love of walking and not that keen on the great outdoors. I do a lot of walking on my own but would enjoy some company, ideally someone who loves being outdoors like me and who doesn't mind a bit of weather. My work pattern varies so I can be free mid week and weekends too.
I've started to tick off the Wainwrights (over half of them now) and I'm now the proud owner of a camper van and hope to venture further afield.
I'd also like to do a few wild camps.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Basingstoke hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I am retired so have plenty of time to go walking locally and nationally. I can sometimes make plans at short notice. I am friendly and reliable and like to chat on a walk.

I am looking for people who love walking and are looking for someone to join them. I would like to meet someone who is also interested in walking some of the long distance paths across the country. Sometimes we need a bit of motivation and encouragement and it is always better to have some company and support. Distance and speed are not that important. I equally enjoy local half day walks in the south of England to all day challenges in the mountains. But, it's always nice to end up in a country pub at the end of the day.

I am a reasonable map reader and whilst generally cautious by nature, I am increasingly confident in the mountains. I have a car so can travel as necessary. I like to chat about about most things and it would be a bonus if you had a good sense of humour too.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Stoke-on-trent hoping to meet just Male new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I live on the edge of the Peak District and love the outdoors. I have walked all my life in most areas of the UK as well as internationally. I like trying new routes but I am also happy on old favourites watching them change with the seasons.

I am looking for people who don't take life too seriously, like a bit of adventure and enjoy exploring new areas. I took early retirement so can walk anytime. My ideal day out is a 5 to 15 mile walk including a coffee or other such beverage, a good chat and learning something new, from the history of the area to a new plant or bird call.

Many of my walks are currently in the Peak District but I will jump at the chance to travel to other areas. Recently I have also walked in Trossachs, North Downs and Snowdonia. I love being in the mountains but I am as happy viewing them from a longer walk through the valleys as climbing to the top.
