I am a Male Walker, in my late 70s, based near North Bradford, West Yorkshire hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello, I'm Roy, a young at heart fell walker looking for an easy going walking companion for walks both at home and abroad. I love the countryside so I'm not really fussed about particular areas in this country. The ones I've selected are where I walk regularly but would like to explore a little further afield and don't mind travelling to a decent walk. Abroad, my favourite walking areas are within the Mediterranean Climate Regions (prefer the more reliable weather!). Not into route marches or wild camping. Much prefer to take in the scenery, wildlife, local history and a suitable hostelry en route! I also have a wide range of other interests which include cycling, hot air ballooning, theatre and travel. I'm also pet friendly so don't mind a canine companion coming along. I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. I prefer warm, dry & sunny weather but can cope with the odd shower. I am a Male Walker, in my mid 70s, based near Nottingham hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I live around an hour's drive from the Peak District. I know it really well and love it, but equally love Wales, The Lakes, Yorkshire, Northumbria and other parts too. I first got the walking bug whilst doing a charity walk in Snowdonia in 1998 (Crib Goch at 4 a.m.). I'm happy walking anywhere as long as it's outdoors somewhere. I walk to chill and enjoy what's there and around me, I don't dawdle but equally don't race to the end. What would make my day complete is some good company to share the views, some good conversation (serious or silly), laughter and perhaps an after walk refreshments or meal. I'm mid 70's but am fit and am younger in appearance and character. I get along with most people of all ages. I generally like to walk between 5-12 miles, I'm chilled, good fun, have a quick wit and great sense of humour and can use a map and compass. I drive and don't see anywhere on the mainland as too far really. My other interests are good comedy, DIY, quizzes, photography, some art, city and country breaks and the occasional theatre to mention a few but I am always happy to try something new. Regards. I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Shrewsbury hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I mix and match my walks, so that can mean anything from a short river stroll to a long distance path,I'm planning to do the Great Glen Way soon(ish). I completed a month long walk in Spain earlier this year but that was quite an unusual one for me.

I also do short trips away walking (or mostly walking) several times a year where I based in one place, again camping. I'm only a couple of hours from the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia.

A few years ago I rearranged my life so I now have a lot of flexibility in my life, the chances are that I cam fit in with your schedule.

It's not all walking, and in truth I'm not hyperactive, so I do a some overseas travel which doesn't necessarily include strenuous hikes but I do generally prefer quieter locations.

Looking for a walking partner to enjoy the scenery. Love coastal/beach walks but also countryside. It is all about the views and vistas.

Quality not quantity …..I think about 7-10 miles is my limit for a day's walking.

A good walk and chat would be nice. Can do during the week as well as weekends.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Rotherham hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I am looking to meet people who own boots and wellies and don't mind getting them covered in mud. I am happy to meet people of any age who shared a love of the outdoors and doesn't mind me stopping from time to time to take photographs.

The Peak District is on my doorstep, but have walked in areas including Wales, the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District, Assynt in Scotland. I have been up Ben Nevis, Snowdon, and Scafell Pike, but would happily walk there again.

I have done the three peaks in the Yorkshire Dales but over a couple of days.

I work full time in a college, but school holidays and weekends I am free. Evening walks are possible if they are local.

My level of fitness is good and improving, though that is a story to share during a walk.

I am a life member of English Heritage and the National Trust. As such I can visit such places with a guest. I love photography, history, wildlife etc. I would rather not talk about education or computing (Unless its for a good cause).

My walking aims are to look at amazing views, Camp in amazing places including a plot of land I can wild camp on in Scotland, and just enjoy it all.

If you are cold, wet, have been rained on all day and can still smile then anything is possible.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near North Devon hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I am looking to meet people to walk with mainly on Exmoor and Dartmoor but I would also be keen to visit other areas. I have done over 80 Munros including all of the ones on The Cullin but haven't been that way for a while and am a bit less fit now! I enjoy relaxed company (not a route march) to take in the surroundings with interesting happy people. I don't take myself too seriously and am up for new experiences and challenges. It is good to stop off at the odd pub however tea rooms seem to appeal more however tea rooms tend not to have roaring fires so I struggle to decide!

I have three very friendly but bouncy dogs who I walk with but conversation is very limited! I struggle to find folk who want to go for long rambles over the moor but I just love being up there.

I am work part time so am often available weekdays and weekends.

Please get in touch if you want relaxed, friendly company for a walk but please do remember that I have got three dogs so it would be good if you are a dog lover!

My Message: Currently test driving my new hip (installed in September '25) so less time trials and peak bagging for now. Hence, seeking a co-driver/navigator for 5-10 mile hikes to start with, with a view to more challenging outings in due course.

Based in the Peak District, separated, centre-left, pragmatic and omnivorous. With a background in marine sciences, I've lived and worked around the world. Hence I used to ski, climb and hike in the Alps and Cascades. These days I just hike, mainly in the Peak District and Snowdonia but would like to go further afield both in the UK (including coastal paths) and abroad. I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Exeter hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello!
It's really nice to think there are others who share a love of connecting with the natural world. In recent years, I have done several long distance walks over 2-6 weeks. One of the reasons I love long distance walking and wild camping is that it allows the freedom to walk as long as it's enjoyable and safe, rather than having to reach a particular point on the map each day. I generally walk about 10 miles a day depending on the terrain, and make it possible with a mix of wild and tame camping. Obviously, it's a joy to be able to stay in a hostel or B&B when possible.
Over the last year, I haven't been for an adventure because I've had a Ukrainian family living with me. They now have their own home so I'm ready to walk again.🥾 Normally I walk alone and enjoy the peace and stillness that lone walking brings. I'm now beginning to think that it would be sensible to have a walking partner.
Quite recently I have been widowed and am now looking to embrace life and all the good things it has to offer. I work part time and my hours are flexible, making it quite easy to go for a walk. I would love to hear from you if your love of walking in wild places resonates with mine.

My Message: Hello, I'm Mark I enjoy walking and discovering places. I occasionally lead walks for my friends or just enjoy a walk on my own. Most walks end up with a pint or a meal. I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near London hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I live in London, but have done lots of long distance path walking,including the SW coastal path and the Cumbria Way and a fair bit of mountain walking in Scotland: Arran, the Cairngorms, Mull, Assynt... I would love to explore more countryside, mostly the northern half of the country and Ireland, which I'm sorry to say I've never been to!

I was a bike commuter for many years which has given me a good level of fitness and I still love cycling in the city, preferring to mostly keep to quiet routes.

Don't be put off by the fact that I live in London! I can travel!!
And of course there are some lovely walks in and around London.

A bit more about me:

I quite enjoy Scrambling & Edges but don't like too much exposure. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I can drive. I do not have my own vehicle but can borrow or rent one.

I am also interested in:

• Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
• Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
• Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
• Road Cycling

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .
