Richard Marchant summited Caw Fell on September 24th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parked at the forest car park below Bowness Knot & walk up the side of Ennerdale Water heading East & at the end I headed South on a Forestry track then a footpath through the woods & up a ridge that finally brought me out to the col between Caw Fell & Haycock. I nipped up to Caw Fell & back along the ridge to Little Colder Crag & on to Haycock. Then across to Scoat Fell & descended down off there on to Steeple & carried on along Long Crag & eventually back to the bottom of Ennerdale & followed the Forest track back to my car. [with] On my Own [weather] Clear Sunny day with little or no breeze.

Kevin Foster conquered Caw Fell on June 15th, 2022 [from/via/route] Little Gowder Crag. [with] By myself. [weather] Dry & sunny. - After rejoining the main path it's just a pleasant saunter over grass with little in the way of gradient to the next top Caw Fell. Important to cross the wall via the stile as the summit cairn is to the north of the wall. As you would expect from a flattish top with a big wall traversing it the views are not that impressive especially South.

[with] Sue and Christine [weather] Dry but very, very windy & cold on the tops. - Followed walk c130 (in reverse). Had perfect weather to just stride out. Reminder of the day - Descent down the scree slope at Dore Head - confirmed I'm bordering on fringe of madness - definitely not one for the faint hearted.
