I am a Female Walker, in my early 40s, based near Stoke On Trent hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I am looking to find companion to go for a walk. I work full time during the week so only have time to do walks on Saturdays/Sundays. I enjoyed walking in the Peak District and around Staffordshire Moorlands, but an easy stroll around villages or parks would be great too. Would like to walk again to Snowdonia and Lake District and open for possibilities to walk somewhere down south. I like taking photos every now and again with either my phone or my other cameras.

My Preferred Walk Grades*: 1:2:3:4:5:

My Preferred Walk Areas:
North West England; Yorkshire; The English Midlands; Wales; The Heart of England; South West England;
(click each link to see other walkers wanting to walk there)

A bit more about me:

When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it. I'm happy to walk in most weathers but do not like snow and ice. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 40s, based near Preston hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi,
I'm Catherine, 42 from Preston. I have done quite a lot of walking, mainly in the Lakes and North Wales but other areas too.I would like to do more in Scotland. I have also done some treks abroad. I have previously walked a lot with my parents but they are getting past the long and high stuff now. Also I met a great walking partner on here about 10 years ago but she has moved abroad for work! I'm now struggling to get out walking as I don't want to go by myself. I love anything outdoors, pretty much any weather. I love camping and a good pint after a walk. I'm looking for people in 30's/40's who would like to go on day walks to begin with to see how we get on. Anyway, drop me a line if you'd like to make contact and get out walking. Thanks

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Stockport hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello ladies and gents. I am hoping to meet new friends, male or female, to accompany me on walks, long or short, in the wonderful British countryside. I enjoy walking locally, in the Peak District, but also love the Lakes, Dales and parts of Scotland and Wales. My favourite walks will usually involve a stop or two at a cafe or pub for rest and refreshments. I have completed many long distance walks and also run and cycle regularly. If anybody would like to share my company please get in touch.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Bath hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I love walking and want people to go walking and to socialise with. If we can get a good weather day and a view, all the better. I'd be happy to meet up with men or women for a day's walk, anytime soon. Also happy to join a group walk. At least it's something we can still do at this time.
I've walked the whole of the SWCP, circuit of the Isle of Wight, the South Downs Way and the Cotswold Way. I love walking in the Lake District and would love to do the Coast to Coast. Am also trying to the Wessex Ridgeway in single day trips from home. But I also love a blow on the Marlborough Downs or just an amble along the canal. Tea or a pub meal at the end is a bonus.
I'm retired and don't have any regular commitments except Wednesday evenings at the moment. I play tennis but don't want to appear super fit, just normal for a walker in her 60's! Am happy to travel to meet up with someone and hope it might be you.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Cannock hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello. I'm Maria. I moved to Cannock Nov 2019 and it would be great to meet another female that I can go walking with. I live near Cannock Chase which is lovely for walks but would be even better with some female company. Because of Covid, it has been difficult to meet new people and make female friends with the same interests. My level of fitness is fairly good. I walk most days 2.5 miles on my own but I am happy rambling for up to 5 or 6 miles or more. I am friendly, easy going and have a good sense of humour. I'm positive but also a realist. I love animals, nature and music as well as TV and films. I love being outdoors in all weather. I can meet up evenings and weekends as I work 9 to 5 Mon to Fri. I must tell you that I'm not much of an early bird, so if meeting at weekends it would need to be after 10am. I dont drive but happy to get public transport to meet up if its local but I can be flexible. I do have a partner who drives and would be happy to drop me at a meeting point.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Cambridgeshire hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I live in Cambridgeshire and have a deep love for walking and hiking. The last long distance l did was Glen Affic in Scotland. However, l like short walks as much as long hikes and to enjoy my walk, stopping to take in the scenery and enjoying a good chat or just appreciating the silence together.
My schedule is quite free so l can do a mixture of week days and weekends. I also drive, so travelling is no problem.
By nature l am a bubbly, outgoing person with an introvert side. Looking to make some new female walking buddies. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Doncaster hoping to meet just Male new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I love the outdoors and recently bought all the kit and caboodle to go wild camping but fear crept in and decided not to go alone just yet.. I'll give most things a go and love trying new things. I'd love to find someone to hike and maybe wild camp. I'd not say no to exploring more urban locations too. We've lost so much time this last year, we have lots to catch up with!

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Lake District hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello!

Currently I'm on a mission to bag all of the Wainwrights. Did a lot of hiking in Europe and participating in races like the Harz Mountains 100km race when I was younger, and a lot fitter! I suppose I'm trying to make up for lost time as there was a time when walking to the pub was a challenge. No longer drink (but will have a 0% beer at the end of a long walk!), Vegan for 10 years. Mainly been doing low level walks in the peak district over the last few years along with Mam Tor, Edale, Kinder Scout etc but now concentrating on Wainwrights. I'm quite happy walking on my own most of the time but it would be good to walk in a group, or with other hikers who had a similar outlook on life. My ultimate aim is to be fitter at 60 than I was at 30!! So if you fancy joining me say hello :)

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Leicester hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Completely new to the board, but hey everyone has to start somewhere! Love walking/hiking obviously, but would love to think that I could share this with someone. I'm a loyal caring and down to earth guy who loves the Yorkshire Dales, Lakes and Peak District. Hoping you like these as well. Reasonably fit and regularly doing 6-8 miles walks each week, but interested in longer hikes. Happy to travel if you are a little further afield. Teach at a local uni (but not a serious academic at all - I teach surveying!). Enjoy my photography, although I do less now.
Anyway, hoping that someone on here might be interested in catching up, so please drop me a message if you'd like to.
Many Thanks
Jim

I am a Female Walker, in my early 30s, based near Selby hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hey, I'm very much a novice walker but thoroughly enjoy it! My current fitness levels allow me to stroll for about 5 miles although I'm hoping that I can improve this with lots of walks with a great companion:) I do have muscular dystrophy which means I may find it quite painful at times but having somebody next to me would distract me. I have a great sense of humour and I love bird watching so I'll be dragging my binoculars with me. I work during the week but free at weekends and also depending on how close we are, would love to walk early in the morning or late evenings on weekdays. I have my own car so willing to travel. Also partial to pub grub when the pubs are open! Don't be shy and say hi!

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Widnes hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello I have been walking mostly in the north west and Wales.
I enjoy being up and out early especially on a Sunday morning and in pretty much any weather conditions.
Before lockdown I completed the 1st section of the trans pennine trail from southport to hadfield in 4 days, I'm hoping to complete the hadfield to hornsea section when things return to some normality. In the meantime I am doing regular 15 to 20 mile walks around my own area mostly on off road pathways so I'm looking to get to know anyone who would be interested in joining me.
