The Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk - which one first?
Q. My wife and I are considering doing one of the [Yorkshire] Three Peaks.
Although I have done the Yorkshire Three Peaks many years ago my wife has done little climbing and I would like to know which of the peaks would be the easiest to do first.
John Tolson, Normanton
A. Well, none of the Yorkshire Three Peaks are 'easy' if you (or your wife) are not used to it - but at 694m (2277ft) Pen-y-ghent is the lowest - with Ingleborough 723m (2372ft) and Whernside 736m (2415ft) forming the other two peaks that make up The Yorkshire Three Peaks.
- To walk Pen-y-ghent see Walks up Pen-y-ghent
- To walk Whernside see Walks up Whernside
and - To walk Ingleborough see Walks up Ingleborough
Also The Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk will tell you everything you need to know abouth The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge Walk itself including how to complete the walk over 1 day, 2 single days or even 3 separate individual days.
Hope this helps
