A. Hello . . . . If you dont know about it already, try what is locally known as the Brampton Valley Way. This is to the north of Northampton and was previously part of the original Blisworth to Market Harborough railway line, going through Northampton. Access is firstly available near to Mill Lane bridge where the line split, Rugby and the W C M Line one way and Market Harborough, the old Midland Line the other. This is about 3 miles north of Northampton station....and then onwards a lovely walk or ride all the way to Market Harborough, through 2 tunnels. It is about 18 miles. After Mill Lane the old track is accessible at numerous spots as it goes north. it is part of The National Cycle Network and also runs parallel to the Northampton and Lamport Steam Railway.....a few pubs on the way with food is very handy on a particularly warm day.....Hope this is of some use to you....Mick
