The highest point of this walk is Hampsfell at 221m (725ft). Hampsfell is also known as an Wainwright Outlying Fell (No. 106) The summit of Hampsfell is marked by an Ordnance Survey Trig Point.

Completing this walk will also take you to the top of Humphrey Head at 53m (173ft). Humphrey Head is also known as an Wainwright Outlying Fell (No. 116) The summit of Humphrey Head is marked by an Ordnance Survey Trig Point. Humphrey Head actually lies just outside the Lake District National Park southern boundary but it is classified as being within the park for Peak Bagging purposes to stop it getting missed.

Part of this walk follows a section of The Cumbria Coastal Way, a 305km (189 miles) linear footpath connecting Silverdale in Lancashire, England with Gretna in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
