James Hughes walked up Buckbarrow on August 16th, 2025 [from/via/route] c328 The Greendale Horseshoe [weather] Warm & generally sunny - Short but pleasant circular. Parked at Greendale & short jaunt on the road before climbing next to Gill Beck up to Buckbarrow. Short down & up to Cat Bields before long gentle climb up to Seatallan summit. Impressive views over to Caw Fell & Haycock. Some path finding difficulty off top & followed instructions which was not ideal path down form Trig point. Better to head right towards Middle Fell. Descent off Seatallan is steep. Reasonably easy climb up to Middle Fell. Great views across Wasdale towards Scafell range from summit. Straightforward descent to Greendale Tarn path before dropping back down to Greendale. Drove to Nether Wasdale to The Strand. Nice pint of Errmm.
Caroline Winter climbed it on July 30th, 2020 [from/via/route] Greendale Gill, Middle Fell, Seatallan, Buckbarrow, Tongue Gill. [with] Becky [weather] Drizzly & cleared up later - Good leg stretch after long drive here & pleasant walk out via Tongue Gill
