David Peebles walked up Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) on July 13th, 2024 [from/via/route] Bridge near Gilderdale Bridge [with] Solo walk [weather] Rained most of the day. - New boots. Sore heels by the end. Broken in now after 18km hopefully.

Kate Barnes climbed Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) on September 9th, 2023 [from/via/route] Nightmare, no paths, not possible to walk NW bank Grindale Burn [with] K & P [weather] Hot

Sam Jones bagged Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) on March 26th, 2022 [from/via/route] From Hartside [with] Solo [weather] pleasant day reasonably bright - Awesome views

Mark Davidson hiked Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) on March 23rd, 2007 [from/via/route] Walk c337 Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) & Benty Hill from Hartside Top Cafe [with] alone [weather] Bright & sunny - lovely summer's day - Loved it (loved it!)

Caroline Winter summited Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) on August 19th, 2021 [from/via/route] A686/Hartside Cross CP, fence line to Black Fell [with] Becky [weather] Drizzly, low cloud on top - CP Great spot of surrounding landscape & road a bikers paradise. Straight forward walk to reach top

Kevin Foster conquered Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) on May 15th, 2018 [from/via/route] Thack Moor (Renwick Fell) [with] Henry [weather] Sunny (more cloudy later) - I loved this next section of the walk along the ridge eastwards over the 'minor' summit of Watch Hill & on towards Black Fell. There was such a feeling of 'open space', the walking on grass was fairly easy & the views particularly to the SW of the Lakeland skyline were just superb. Elsewhere Cross Fell, Cold Fell & Grey Nag stood out & I could even make out Criffell in Scotland across the Solway Firth.

Christine Shepherd scaled Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) on March 5th, 2017 [from/via/route] Walked from Hartside Cafe using walk c337. [with] On my own [weather] A fine spring day - I walked up Grey Nag & Tom Smith's Stone Top using walk 114 but decided not to continue across the bog to this fell. I drove to Hartside & walked straight up from there. I am so glad I did. The path was good, route finding easy & to top it all I watched the sun set over snow capped Lakeland peaks on the way down.

Darren Mortimer walked up Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) on February 27th, 2016 [from/via/route] Renwick [with] Dermot Palmer

Iain Taylor climbed Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) on September 3rd, 2012 [from/via/route] Hartside Cross (NY 64640 41858)

Ray O'hara has bagged Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) [from/via/route] From Grey Nag & Tom Smith's Stone Top [weather] Overcast - The bog on the ridge between Tom Smith's Stone & Black Fell is by far the worst that I have ever encountered. The ridge from High Seat to High Tove that Alfred Wainwright wished on his worst enemy is a walk in the park by comparison. Do this one in winter when the ground is frozen, not at the end of the wettest summer on record.

Patrick Rogozinski, Matthew Thomas and Trevor Williams have all walked, climbed & bagged Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell).
