Gutted that visibility at all of the peaks was poor, but as I started down from Bakestall it clearer to a glorious day as I came back down the Cumbria Way. 7.5 hours >> 5 hours 10mins [with] On my own [weather] Started drizzly & low visibility but warmed up & coat off eventually! - Great walk - & a lovely route up to Skiddaw (instead of the "road")

Visited the official (highest point) summit & the Wainwright top, a short distance away. [with] Pam Bennett, Oliver Bennett, Thomas Bennett. [weather] Overcast. Very windy on the tops.

Lonesdale fell first, over Jenkin hill & up Little man Skiddaw, then Skiddaw 9with it's many tops, then over Bakes hill & down to Bakestall. Came back by Whitewater dash Waterfall (lunch) & followed the Cumbria way back to the start. [with] With Tess [weather] Started off a bit cloudy & drissly but cleared as the day went on. a bit misty on Skiddaw. - Lots of good running down nice grassy hillsides.

Richard Marchant bagged Bakestall on May 28th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parking the car at Peter House Farm & then followed the Cumbria Way up past Whitewater Dash Water Falls to Black Nettle Hause. From here I went right up Birkett Edge to Bakestall then back to Black Nettle Hause & up the other side following Dry Gill to Little Calva then traversed around to Great Calva keeping to the ridge. Had a rest here then basically followed my route back to the car. [with] On my Own [weather] Dry Day & a bit overcast in the morning although it did become sunny & clear in the afternoon.

Kate Peacock conquered Bakestall on March 19th, 2022 [from/via/route] Peter House Farm via the Cumbrian Way [with] Just me [weather] Beautiful sunny day however the winds were crazy once I got up higher - Overshot the way up & had to come back a little & climb over a fence. Drying out nicely but the winds made it impossible to relax at the top. Very boggy at the bottom. Returned the same way I had gone up due to winds.

Richard Fulcher scaled Bakestall on July 31st, 2021 [from/via/route] Jen dropped me at the Gale Road car park & I started off along the Cumbria Way around Lonscale Fell. I ascended up on the edge of Lonscale Crags to Lonscale Fell & then walked over Jenkin Hill to Little Man. From there I joined the main route up to Skiddaw & over the other side to Bakestall. I descended via Birkett Edge & then followed the Cumbria Way route down to Peter House Farm. I walked down the road to Walk Mill Bridge where Jen picked me up. [weather] Low cloud but otherwise reasonable weather. - The initial climb up Lonscale was tough (unfit!) but the other climbs were separated by easier sections.

The walk back via the Cumbria Way passed a very isolated Youth Hostel, fantastic scenary.
