The Cruachan and Glen Lochy Hills, Loch Leven to Connel Bridge, Strath of Orchy and Glen Lochy, Argyll and Bute, Scotland
Ben Cruachan is used for hydro-electric power production with turbines located in a man-made cavern several hundred metres under the mountainside.
Ben Cruachan means 'Conical Hil' and is pronounced 'Ben kroo-achen'.
The summit of Ben Cruachan is marked by an Ordnance Survey Trig Point.
