Is there a Three Peaks Walk in The Peak District?
Q. Good Afternoon
I took part in the 24 hour three peaks challenge (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon) last year with some work colleagues.
We are looking to do something similar this year and have decided we would like walk 3 peaks in the Peak District over the course of 10 hours.
We have walkers of all abilities.
Do you have any idea's of suggest peaks or routes we could undertake?
Regards
Ian Browning
A. While you can do some really long walks in the Peak District - it doesn't really have any peaks as such - apart from Kinder Scout, Black Hill and Bleaklow - are these are nowhere near as onerous as the challenge you did last year.
However, the Three Peaks of Yorkshire might be more your thing - three mountains - 23.5 miles - 5202ft of ascent - and just 12 hours to do it all in - click here for more details and a route guide.
Alternatively - you could consider the Three Peaks of Wales - but that would involve driving from mountain to mountain as per you previous challenge.
Hope this helps
