Ordnance Survey Map Scale Measurers
Q. I found your site on Friday and think it will be really useful.
I had some brief lessons on how to navigate this weekend so have started reading your section on Hill Skills > Navigation Skills
In the section Hill Skills >Navigation Skills > Ordnance Survey Map Post-it Scale you mention the OS scale.
I recently purchased a similar Map Scale Measurer from
Map Mates in Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester
It is essentially a piece of acetate with a square for both 1:50,000 and 1:25,000 which makes it really easy to identify exactly where you are from a GPS reading.
It wasn't very expensive and the company delivered it to me very promptly (and the text doesn't wash off in the rain unlike my home made one!)
