Walking Dogs in Farmer's Fields
Q. Can I walk over a farmer's field with my dogs which are kept on a lead, there are none of the farmer stock in the feild. And I also only walk around the edges of the field.
Jason Roberts, Llanfair P G
A. No you cannot. Farmer's Fields are private property and to enter one is tresspassing.
You are permitted however to walk on a public right of way (footpath or bridleway) that crosses farmland (or skirts around the edge) providing you do not leave the right of way at any time.
Right of Ways are marked on all decent walking maps. See the map's information panel to see how Rights of Way are marked for that particular map.
