Walking with children Feb Half Term
Q. I’d like to book a week away to go walking with the family during February half term. I’m a keen walker - mainly trails/hills in Hampshire/South Downs area. My 3 boys (16, 14 & 9) and husband enjoy it when I make them join me. The eldest loves hill walks with Explorer Scouts/DofE. And the spaniel will run anywhere. My eldest son has asked to go to Snowdonia. Where would you recommend at this time of year? Looking for 'away from it all’ walks, between 5-10 miles, with hills and some variety to keep the troops happy. We do have decent boot and waterproofs, and not intending to take them up a mountain at this time of year.
