First Time Hiking (snowdon - Wales)
Q. Hi all. Me and a few friends are thinking of climbing mount snowdon on my 21st birthday and are planning on camping at the top purely for the beautiful views I've heard so much about. I am very much looking forward to this, however know nothing about hiking, the mountain or the surrounding area as I live in Lincolnshire. Please, could anyone help me out with information I might find useful? - what to pack (considering we plan to camp at the top) - rules for wild camping and if it's easy to get away with (we won't cause any drama) - best areas to camp (doesn't have to be right at the top, as long as it's high enough for spectacular photographic views) - if there is a trail to follow and where we might find the beginning of said trail Ext ext... Thank you!!!

A. You don't say when you're planning on going. Snowdon in winter shouldn't be undertaken lightly. Although there are several trails to the summit the most straightforward is the Llanberis path that follows the railway track. But if you need to know what to pack or where to find the start of the route then maybe something less ambitious to begin with would be advisable. Sorry to be a bit negative but it's a serious challenge especially carrying overnight kit.
