Pathfinder Maps

Q. I am trying to find an index for Pathfinder maps, there are four for the area of Blackmore Essex (postcode CM4 0RT) which are the ones I am searching for; to buy?

A. Ordnance Survey Pathfinder Maps have green covers and are 1:25 000 Scale (4cm to 1km or 2 1/2 inches to 1 mile). The Pathfinder series of maps originally covered England, Scotland and Wales in a series of 1200 maps that were predominantly rectangular covering 20km (east to west) by 10km (north to south) sheets linked to the National Grid.

They have now been replaced by the Ordnance Survey Explorer Series (orange covers) and are no longer in print.

Sites like Amazon and Ebay may sell some Pathfinder Maps via third parties.
