Where Is Haresceugh Fell?
Q. Thanks for all these wonderful pictures, and details of the various maps, but what exactly is the grid reference for Haresceugh Fell? We noticed the unusual name whilst driving through the area only a couple of weeks ago , heading towards alnwick the scenic route, would loove to discover more, and the map ref would help. Can anyone oblige? Cheers

A. Haresceugh Fell, or to give it its full name, Black Fell (Haresceugh Fell) is a 664m (2179ft) high mountain in the Cumbria area of The North Pennines. It is the 132nd highest Mountain in England, the 227th highest Mountain in England and Wales and is topped by a Trig Point and some old rusting bits of metal. The grid reference for the summit is NY648444 and the GPS Waypoint for the summit is NY 64821 44419.
