The Joys of Walking
Q. I am new to your site, and writing a blog post about ways to reconnect with yourself during the holiday month of August. Walking is on my list and I wanted to get an expert opinion on the joys of walking, therefore my question is: What pleasure do you get from walking? How do you think walking helps to reconnect the walker to themselves? What are the benefits of walking? I would be grateful if you would answer these questions, I will include a link to your website for the article. I am looking to publish asap. Thank you

A. Take a look at some of the articles in The Bunkhouse > Walking and Hiking Discussions - with particular reference to:
- It's official - walking is good for your memory,
- More daylight, more walking, better health - let's not put the clocks back,
- Walking for Health - reduce the risk of cancer and
- Walking in the hills and countryside can improve mental health
Hope this helps . . .
