More Walk Planning Maps Please . . .
Q. I love the planning maps you have available for the Lake District, they are really useful to summarise all walks in the area, and the go4awalk guides they cover. Is it possible that other planning maps could be available to show other areas, e.g Northumberland National Park, Wainwright's c2c [Coast to Coast] walk etc Many Thanks
Steve Littlewood, Washington
A. Hi Steve - thanks for your comments.
Not sure whether you mean the go4awalk.com Peak Bagging Maps and Tick Lists that show all the significant Peaks, Tops, Hills, Wainwrights, Mountains and Bridgets in a given area (like The Southern Fells of The Lake District) or the go4awalk.com Interactive Walks Selection Maps where you can mouse over each walk and get an outline of the walk route and compare it to nearby walks routes. Both are really useful for planning your next walk or series of walks.
In any event, to see all the Peak Bagging Maps and Tick Lists that we currently have available see Peak Bagging and Mountain/Hill Tick Lists. A Peak Bagging Map and Tick List for Northumberland will be available very soon. Even if you are an experienced Peak Bagger make sure you read Peak Bagging - How to get started - not because you need to know how to go about Peak Bagging - but because it is (imho) pretty funny!
To see our Interactive Walk Selection Maps see Find Walks on Interactive Ordnance Survey Explorer™ Walking Maps (Orange Covers) and Find Walks on Interactive Ordnance Survey Landranger® Walking Maps (Pink Covers) and click on any of the active squares to see an interactive version of that Ordnance Survey Walking Map.
Hope this helps . . .
