Osteo-arthritis Of The Knees
Q. I've been a keen walker and backpacker for half a century, but, now in my 70s, I have developed osteo-arthritis in my knees, which means I can no longer walk more than a mile or so before they hurt too much, even with pain-killers. I don't get this pain while cycling, so I tend to do that now instead of walking, However, this means I can no longer go up hills or do wilderness walking. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it?
