Waterproof Walking Boots
Q. Hi have tried Hi Tec Eurotrek and Altitude 1V both of which leak around lower right (where top meets sole). I think its because I have a broad foot. Can you recommend an all season waterproof walking boot for use around South Wales using fields and pathways walking my Labrador in some fairly foul weather? I take size 9 and i think a boot with a width option would do the business. Many thanks.
Mike Hammett,
A. I have always had a problem with the width of my boots, I have a fairly small but broad foot and now find that the Meindl range are made fairly wide; my latest pair fitted like a glove from day one, no wearing in required. Hope this helps?

A. I've used Zamberlans for 20 years on all terrains including snow. I also have broad feet. I did the Coast to Coast in them, went trekking in the Everest National Park and have used them with snow-shoes. You need gaiters in snow but my feet have always stayed dry.

A. Thanks Geoff. See Alt-Berg Mallerstang for review.
Hope this helps

A. Try Alt-Bergs - five width fittings. I've recently walked from Land's End to John o'Groats, wearing these most of the way. Dry feet and comfortable.
