Where to go in Peak District with a pushchair or wheel chair?
Q. Hi,
I take a lot of disabled people out and about and a lot of my friends have small children in buggies. Is there any area anywhere in the Peak District that is suitable for a small walk with a pushchair or wheel chair?
The only place we have around here (Leicestershire) is Rutland Water with paths and we all fancy a change.
Regards,
Abi

A. The Tissington Trail (an old railway line Ashbourne to Parsley Hay) is ideal for long or short walks. There's vehicular access to each of the old stations so you can choose which sections you want to use. It's mainly used as a cycle way, but walkers and horseriders use it too. At Parsley hay bicycle hire centre they have various types of cycles and trikes for those with disabilities. Nice from Parsley Hay to Ruby Wood for children and disabled.
