Walking Insurance
Q. I used to be on a committe for a singles group and the committee decided to take out public liability insurance to cover any events taking place so that the event leader would be covered for any accidents or injury. I especially always understood it to be that if you led a walk it was always advisory to be aware that you could be sued personally if public liability was not taken out.I am now no longer on that committe but still a member of the group leading short walks. I have recently found out that the public liability insurance has been cancelled as the present committee felt it not necessary. Where do I now stand?
