Adventure walks for teenagers?
Q. I want to get out into the hills this summer, and am trying to 'persuade' my 14 year old son to come with me. Although he is very fit and a good scrambler/climber, as a teenager he is not keen on long, flat(ish) walks. Can anyone suggest a hill/mountain/fell that contains an element of climbing, without the need for any special equipment - ideally in Yorkshire, but also the Lakes or Scotland/Wales - maybe something like Brimham Rocks, but more of it! Thanks for any suggestions

A. Start with Striding Edge - see Walks:
. . . and if he likes that you can progress to Sharp Edge - see Walks:
. . . and then Crib Goch - see Walks:
NB If you click on any of the walk links above and then the 'See Pictures of this walk' link you will get an idea of what it is like.
Hope this helps
