Hayne Down (Bowerman's Nose)
391m (1283ft)
Dartmoor, Devon, England
The summit of Hayne Down (Bowerman's Nose) is marked by a rocky outcrop.
Legend has it that the shape of Bowerman's Nose is due to an archer (or bowman) who, while out hunting with his dogs, discovered a coven of witches. They turned him and his hounds to stone.
