In-use Test:

Our tester for the Regatta Action II walking was wearing a size 14 regular length. The fit overall was good - our tester is 5' 2'' and normally wears a size 14 - so felt that the body fit is true to size. However, she would normally expect to need the shorter length fitting but in this case the regular length fitted perfectly.

With a partially elasticated, unlined waistband, the Action II trousers are very comfortable and the freedom of movement is quite good when climbing over stiles. However, there is no stretch in the fabric so they are perhaps not the best option for scrambling.

There are a good selection of (4) zipped pockets plus two unzipped pockets at the top front plus one smaller, zipped pocket further down the leg.

There is some wind and rain resistance - and they do dry quite quickly.

Buying Advice:

The Regatta Action II trousers are a good value, basic option for low level, walking or more general leisure use. The sizing seems to be a little eccentric - particularly leg length.
