In-use Test:
I've worn the Source Gobi Adventure Sandals on a a number of shorter walks on relatively straight forward terrain. I've been testing a men's sandal size 45 - which is my normal shoe size. The 3 adjustment points at heel, front and arch of the foot meant it was quick and simple to get a good fit. All three straps are really well padded so when combined with the nice stable sole I found the Source Gobi Adventure Sandal to be a very comfortable, relatively light sandal.
The soles also have a good level of stiffness so were good over more uneven ground. However, the lugs on the soles are relatively shallow so the traction on less stable ground was less than I would like.
These are certainly a well designed, extremely comfortable pair of sandals with a fair usage based guarantee. Whilst my personal preference is to wear walking boots for walking any significant distances, these are light enough to have in the backpack to cope with a stream/shallow river crossing when the quick-drying straps are a real bonus.

• I've had my pair of classic walking sandals by Source for at least 20 years and they're still going strong...I've walked for miles in them, they've paddled in the Atlantic, the Med and the Indian Ocean, clambered over rocks and climbed various low-level hills and still they keep on going! They are showing only the slightest signs of wear even though they have been well used and abused! I'm so impressed by them and feel almost disloyal in considering the purchase of a new pair.... If you work out 'cost per wear' the original purchase price is certainly one of the biggest bargains of my life!

• I've had a pair of men's Source Gobi sandals for around six years now. They're well made, durable, comfortable and the strap adjustment means they feel secure on your feet. My criticism would be that my feet get really hot in them (and there's plenty of places with hotter summers than the UK!). The black synthetic sole makes my feet sweat and get sticky and over time it is difficult to stop them becoming smelly as a result. I wonder if a leather sole would be better in this respect?

• I have now had three pairs of these. I wear them for most of the summer months, generally and for serious walks of up to 10 miles. They are great in the wet. Last year I wore them in atrocious conditions on the Great Wall of China - my guide wanted me to wear proper walking boots.
